The way he's wording things, he's clearly from a place where hostility and backstabbing, i.e. failure states of the prisoner's dilemma are common. I've gotten some very basic negotiation training due to my husband's work. Based on that, Our 'guest' needs assurances, and I'd rather risk myself, ma'am, than you or the kids.

::Snaps his fingers, as the whirring of chains is heard and the teenage students are, in a few minutes, brought to the visible part of the room. They looks. Mostly. Unharmed. A bit rough for wear but whatever Akeley was going to do, he hasn't gotten around to it other than securing the students.::

*Leaving the room, Yoko quickly ushers the two students to her office where she tells them to stay and lay low until she and Mrs. Yuki return for them.
Afterwards, she rushes towards the library, bursting in and going over to where they keep the tablets for the students to use.

She tries one, and then another.
They're not turning on.*

Damnit. I really need to talk to someone about making sure these are charged...!

*Finally, she tries one and it turns on.*

Good. It has enough battery life!

*She grabs the charger for it and rushes out of the library.
Now she needed to find that room again.*
